I watched Culpa Mía when it first released in 2023 and immediately became obsessed with the drama-filled storyline. Culpa Tuya is the second movie in a trilogy based on a Wattpad story by Mercedes Ron. It’s dramatic, addictive, and packed with romance—think your ‘typical Wattpad romance,’ but in the best way.
Culpa Tuya picks up right where the first movie ends. I haven’t read the books, so there might be some differences between this adaptation and the source material. In this sequel, we follow Noah and Nick as they navigate their forbidden relationship. Noah’s mom marries Nick’s dad, but that doesn’t stop Noah and Nick from falling for each other. Their parents try to keep them apart, throwing obstacle after obstacle in their path. Their relationship becomes a rollercoaster ride filled with jealousy, meddling outsiders, and consequences that keep me on the edge of my seat.
Nick is determined to prove to Noah that he’s not the bad boy he once was, but he constantly faces tests. He begins working at his dad’s firm, where he meets an attractive new colleague his parents are trying to set him up with. Meanwhile, Noah is still figuring out who she is and what she wants. She goes to college and bonds with her roommate, Briar, who harbors a deep, dark secret.
The movie takes you through so many emotional highs and lows—one moment, I was happy; the next, sad; and then suddenly gasping out loud. At one point, I literally thought someone chopped up a cat! (Don’t worry, they didn’t—but the shock factor was real.) The actors have incredible chemistry that makes me root for their relationship, even though it drives me crazy.
If you enjoy brain-rotting drama, crazy situations, action, and epic romance, I recommend giving this a watch. There’s jealousy, relationship drama, family conflict, and even street racing. With the way this movie ends, I can’t wait for the third installment to see how the story wraps up. Perfect for a girl’s night!
